Ep. 5: Athens Mountain Singers

Our final Satellite Session of 2023 is full of festive carols, but maybe not quite the ones you’re used to hearing this time of year. It’s Athens Mountain Singers – Amy, Jesslyn, Alys, and Camp Amped instructors SJ, Claire and Lydian – singing European folk tales of moon dances, fair maidens, singing cuckoo birds, and… flowering peppers?

Ep. 4: Trvy and the Enemy

In the final Satellite Sessions before we take a little Thanksgiving break, last year’s featured artist Trvy is joined by The Enemy, a dream team of virtuous Robbie Rapp, James Stickney, and Rio Crane, who add a riotous blend of experimental psychedelic rock to Trvy’s thoughtful lyricism and dynamic flow. Full episode available now on YouTube.com/nucisspace

You can catch Trvy & The Enemy at the 40 Watt Club on December 9th, leading off a star-studded line up supporting Lonnie Holly in a event benefiting Nuçi’s Space! And check out their self-titled debut Ep, streaming now everywhere.

Ep. 1: Bog Bod

The upstart band Bog Bod are one of those most incendiary bands in town, whether on the stage or in the studio. Their tunes are a blend of playful punk and swampy grunge, all with infectious hooks, and fronted by Alex Solomon and her glass-shattering voice.

Check out their debut EP Body Shop, produced by Nuçi's Space's own Adam Wayton, out now everywhere, and see them at Historic Athens Porchfest on October 15th at 3:00pm at Pink Goblin, 160 Tracy St, Ste 10.

About Satellite Sessions

Satellite Sessions are a series of intimate virtual mini-concerts filmed and recorded at Nuçi's Space – in our rehearsal rooms, on the main stage, at Amplify Studio, even inside the famed St. Mary's Steeple. Episodes are edited and mixed by the video and audio staff at Nuçi's Space.

Satellite Sessions exist for the purpose of bringing greater attention to Nuçi Space’s mission of suicide prevention as well as services and resources for local musicians and the community, while also helping to promote the artists featured, many of whom have previously been involved with Nuçi’s Space in some way – rehearsed, recorded, volunteered, or attended Camp Amped as a student or instructor.

To help us fund Satellite Sessions and support our mission, consider donating to Nuçi’s Space today.
